Rosario Valdés Blanco-Rajoy
Born in A Coruña. Degree in Geography and History from the University of Santiago de Compostela. As a technical expert, she has carried out numerous works focused on archaeology, having directed numerous excavation and prospecting campaigns in the terrestrial and underwater environment, both on her own account as the owner of a specialized company, as well as contracted by various public institutions and private companies. In 2007 she joined the Institute of Galician Studies Padre Sarmiento (CSIC-Xunta de Galicia) as a career civil servant, occupying the position of research assistant in R+D+I.

Research topic.
In recent years he has participated in several research projects in public and competitive European, national and regional calls, related to issues of history, heritage and identity, especially on Galician medieval fortresses and pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela.
Other activities.
She is currently part of the team of the project "Neocamiños" (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas - Xunta de Galicia).
As a member of the IEGPS group "Cultures and societies of the Iberian world since the Middle Ages", she received the "Camino de Santiago 2015" award in the research modality, granted by the Xunta de Galicia.
She has been responsible for the secretariat of several colloquia, seminars and scientific meetings of academic scope held at the IEGPS headquarters, highlighting the thirteen Coloquios Internacionales Compostela [Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC - Commission Internationale d'Histoire et d'Études du Christianisme, CIHEC], organized between the years 2008 and 2021.
